52 days people. So many emotions but I couldn't be more excited!
Recently Elder Holland visited Asia and the church just released this video on lds.org.
Holla at yo people in HK.
Wow. Just wow.
"I don't think that any of us can deny that when we speak of the hastening of the work, that won't be ever be any more true, couldn't be more true, anywhere, than it's going to be in Asia."
I just get chills every time I watch this. I can't wait to be right in the middle of it all. The Lord must love the people of HK a whole lot if he's going to help some white girl from Centerville Utah learn Cantonese so that she can tell everybody about the perfect joy and happiness that comes through His gospel.
"Behold, I will hasten my work in its time."
-D&C 88:73
Look out Asia. Guess it's time.
It's extremely humbling to receive a mission call.
An apostle of the Lord received divine inspiration that I was to be called to the China Hong Kong mission. There's a reason I'm headed to Hong Kong and I'm so excited to figure that out.
If that isn't motivation to give it 110% then I don't know what is.
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, "Wow what a ride."
-Marjorie Pay Hinckley
I think the same goes for a mission.
I don't want to come home in perfect condition. I want to come home with worn out shoes and well used scriptures. I want to come home tired and thoroughly used up from giving my mission everything that I have. I want to come home loudly proclaiming, "Wow, what a ride."
