| There's a small Asian child running the the back of the picture and I just think it's so fitting! San Lin Faai Lohk!! |
Hong Kong is decked out in red and gold decorations everywhere and just as crazy as always, and it's so awesome!! Essentially everyone and their dog is going to China to celebrate the new year with their family - including literally every single one of our investigators but one - so that's cool! But the work goes on!
This year is the year of the sheep. It's been real cool to think that 2015, the year of the sheep, I get to serve the good shepherd by helping Him gather His sheep. There's a picture on the front of the Restoration pamphlet that we love to show people. It's a picture of Jesus Christ holding a lamb. I love telling people that the lamb in the picture represents us, and then asking them to look at the picture and share how that makes them feel.
How grateful I am that I am never alone. How grateful I am that I have a Savior who is always there to guide, support and love me. How grateful I am that we have a shepherd that loves us and knows us perfectly. He truly is the good shepherd.
"I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd."(John 10: 11, 14, 16)
How grateful I am for the opportunity I have to serve my shepherd by helping Him gather His sheep.
We met a man this week from Jamaica who asked us about what we want out of life and what we think is important. After we explained how we want to finish school, but ultimately have desires just to have a good family and become disciples of Jesus Christ, he proceeded to rip us apart. He told us that we will get to be 30 years old and look back and realize we've done nothing with our lives. He told us none of that would make us happy.
How grateful I am that I know where real happiness comes from. True joy can only be found in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I've never been happier than when I'm doing my best to keep my life in line with the teachings of Jesus Christ.
He will not lead us astray. He is the way. He is the good shepherd.
Love you all and make sure to eat some Chinese food on the 19th for me! LOVE YOU.
Love,
SisMoRob

| Our ward mission leader came to fellowship for Iris's lesson. He's great. As you can tell. And I just really love her more than words can express! |
