So Worth It

Another week, another email! It just keeps flying by too fast. Hope all is well and everything is dandy!

Things are going well! Good things are happening and things are going well. It's a little tough right now in regards to growth not just in our area, but in our zone right now, but we're working hard, praying hard and smiling hard! :)

Sister Z is doing awesome! If things go well with her interview this week, she will get baptized next week! It's great to know that we don't just have to cross our fingers and hope things go well. We got the Lord on our side to make this happen and everything works out when He's on your side!

I love this picture. It's just Hong Kong. And I LOVE it. We took this at a member cheng out. W Ji Muih is the greatest person ever. She had 10 kids and now, like most grandparents here, is taking care of a lot of her grandchildren. And she's doing it all in her apartment that is 80% photographed in this picture. I never cease to be taught so much by the faith of these members.

We have the temple today so sorry to be short, but here's a quick thought.

We had zone conference a couple weeks ago and President Hawks said something that really hit me and I've been thinking about it ever since. "It seems we sometimes value comfort over commitment and convenience over covenants." Wow. Ya. We do.I mean there's not much even to say, because he said it all.

The Gospel isn't often very convenient. Keeping commandments may not seem very comfortable or convenient in the moment. Callings may not be convenient or conducive to our busy schedules.

This is not a gospel to be thought of as a quick fix or a new trend or fad.

The gospel of Jesus Christ is a lifestyle. It requires sacrifice, it requires good old fashioned hard work and may not be all that easy. But it's SO WORTH IT. Every blessing that comes from commitment and keeping our covenants far outweighs temporary comfort or convenience ten out of ten times.

I'm so grateful that we have a Heavenly Father who loves us enough not to let us get everything we want. His plan is so much better. Have a great week and keep on smiling! :)

Love always,
SisMoRob
