| You want a cliche missionary picture? Here ya go! |
Hope everybody is doing well and still killing it! Everything is going great and life is good! Here's some seung of adventures this last week:
Wu Dihp is doing awesome and things are rolling along! Z Ji Muih passed her baptismal interview and is getting baptized this Sunday!! Thank you for all your prayers! She's amazing and we're STOKED for her!
We were finding and ran into this mom with a 5 year old daughter. To be honest not a whole lot of people even really stop for very long to talk to us around here. Not only did this woman stop, but we had an awesome discussion with her.
It was super powerful and we talked about how she could know if God was real and how much it could bless her and her family and she was super into it and the spirit was way strong and everything was going great!!
So we get to the exchanging numbers and scheduling to meet again part of this exchange and she asked where our chapel is. We showed her the address and explained where it was. (From where we were at, it was about a 15 minute hin tit (light rail) ride to get to the church.)
The moment she found out where our church was, her face completely broke. She handed back the flier and said, "Are you serious? That's WAY too far. I don't have time for that."
She grabbed her daughter by the hand and marched away before we even had a chance to say anything...
I was shocked at how she just seemed to be soaking everything up and how quickly something as simple as a 15 minute commute suddenly made all the eternal truths and blessings we were sharing with her way to mahfaahn to even try and come and see.
This really isn't anything too common. I'm sure that's just the way most of the world is now, but especially here in HK it's a very fast paced. It has to be fast, convenient and if you can't put a price on it, it's not worth their time.
Like I mentioned last week, the gospel isn't always convenient. There are sacrifices to be made (some a little more than a 15 minute hin tit ride) , but oh how worth it they are! for those who can take a second to slow down and come and see, it's far beyond they worth of anything else in the whole world.
LOVE YOU. Have a great week!
Love,
Sister Robinson
