First Day of School

Hey people.

Well I didn't fully prepare for this emailing session and I'm at a little at a loss of what to talk about.. Haha but here's an analogy that Sister Hoxer shared with me this week that I loved! (Have I told you that I love my companion because she's the best.) (And no, I didn't just say that because I know her mom, sister and boyfriend read my blog.)

So here it is in the words of SisterRobinson.

This whole mortal experience is a whole lot like going to school.

But, the only thing is, your parents drop you off at school and the doors close and you just kind of forget your life before coming to school. But you get all caught up in cool crafts and finger paining, and the hot dogs they serve at lunch that bounce when you throw them on the ground and you get real good at four square all that good stuff. There's ups and downs but you're learning all kinds of things and you make all kinds of great friends and life is good!

Sometimes your friends dad comes to pick them up early and they head out the big doors to go home. But the thing is, you can't remember what it's like not to be at school, and you can't see where they're going. They get to go home with their dad and it's a happy thing, but with your limited vision, you go up and you pound of the door and you're yelling for them to come back because you were having such a great time learning at school. The thing is that it was their time to head back home because they had learned the things they needed to, but we still need to stick around because we still have some things to learn.

Sometimes this analogy doesn't work, because there are people like President Hinckley that could have been picked up WAY earlier than they were, but somebody has got to stick around and help us all figure this school thing out.

Okay, so maybe it's a little silly, but I just thought it was great. How blessed we truly are to have this wonderful knowledge about the Plan of Salvation. We may not remember it, but we came from a premortal life with parents who loved us enough to send us to school to learn the things that we need to learn. How blessed we are, that even though we're still here learning and making messes and stuff that a loving Heavenly Father has given us ways to look past our limited perspective and understand the eternal scheme of things. We know where we come from, why we're here and where we're going.

Doesn't it just make you want to tell the world?!

Well that's just what we're trying to do here in Butterfly and it's going swell! There are miracles happening all the time and people coming out of the woodwork all over the place. We are just SO blessed.

I love you all. So much I can't even express it in an email. Have a fabulous week and keep learning stuff.

Love always,
SisterRobinson
