He Always Knows

Leih gamyaht hou mh hou a?! I feel like I just wrote you all! Time sure is a weird thing.. But it's been another great week and things are going great!
Hong Kong is just the best!!
Cool story: So you know my water bottle that's the coolest thing in the whole world? (It's got a mister on it. It was probably the thing I bought for my mission that I was most excited about.) Ya well I lost it. And I was devastated. And when I say devastated I really was just real bummed. I'm just being dramatic for effect. Because this is a "one of a kind" water bottle from Eddie Bauer. But I was devastated. So we were walking back to our apartment through the Dirty Mall which is this mall with 4 floors of these tiny vendors that all sell all this random stuff for dirt cheap (it's where I got my super sweet pants.) And there's this little vendor that basically is a Chinese version of REI squished into a 5x12 ft space. And in my devastation and self pitty I look up and guess what I saw?

There sitting on one of the shelves among all the camping equipment (which I didn't even know people in Hong Kong went camping, but it's cool) WAS A WATER BOTTLE EXACTLY LIKE THE ONE THAT I BOUGHT! And it was on clearance. So that made it 10 times better.

And the little old man that runs the store thing was probably super confused as to why this white girl is even in Hong Kong, but was probably even more confused why she was freaking out about this water bottle.

But a Heavenly Father knew exactly how much it meant to me. And it was just a great reminder that He is so very aware of us and wants us to be happy, even if it's just over something really simple like a water bottle that has a mister.
A member brought us back facials from Korea, so you bet we had fun!
Cool story #2: So we have this investigator. And she's the coolest! But she's been in mainland for the last couple weeks, visiting her mom. And it's really inconvenient for us when she's in mainland because we can't teach her. Or call her. So I've been a little impatient with Heavenly Father for the last little while, asking him why she can't be here so we can teach her and she can get baptized and all that good stuff.

But I was reminded this week that this is very much His work, and He's got a plan that is WAY better than anything we can come up with.

When our investigator came back, she told us that she took her Book of Mormon and her Gospel Principles book that she picked up at church with her and she talked to her mom who lives in Mainland China about our church and now her mom wants to get baptized too!!!

D&C 3:3 "Remember remember that it is not the work of God that is frustrated, but the work of men."

"The Plan of Sister Robinson" gets frustrated all the time. I was impatient with the fact that she wasn't in Hong Kong so that we could teach her. But the Lord has such a better plan and his plan is never frustrated. He knew the good that would come from her being in mainland.

We're working on figuring everything out so stay tuned for the rest of the story! But always remember that the Lord's plan is always the best and when we remember that He's in charge, everything always works out a whole lot better!
We had a games night with the YSA's, investigators and some of the youth.
This is with some of the girls that came!
This work is incredible. Heavenly Father is preparing the hearts of his children to receive His gospel. Even in places that we as full time missionaries can't be yet. :) What an exciting time to be engaged in such a great cause!

I love you all! I know that this gospel is true with all of my heart! Heavenly Father loves his children SO much and is so very aware of each of us!

This is a super adorable less active couple from Mainland that we taught! They kind of speak Cantonese, but Sister Chan and our fellow-shipper both speak Mandarin so it was kind of all over the place language wise and I had no clue what was going on.. But it was awesome and they're adorable!
Love always,

SisMoRob

PS! Everyone PROMISE me you'll watch the Saturday morning session of conference!! In our all mission meeting last week we got some cool news about something pretty sweet that will be happening, so make sure you're listening! (Don't freak out, they're not opening China or anything like that, well as far as I'm concerned, but it's pretty sweet!!)
