It's Just So Good.

Dinner at Bishop's home with some recent converts and Sam!
Well. You know when something absolutely amazingly awesome happens and you try to tell someone and they just don't get it because they weren't there? Well that just happens to be how I feel about the last year of my life...

Haha but really! Especially this week we just had so many incredible experiences and sitting down at a computer and trying to type it all out just doesn't do it any justice! But I'll try.

SAM GOT BAPTIZED THIS WEEK! Man he's such a great kid. We played basketball with him and some of the young men this week and it was awesome. Sister Dudley is a baller and I'm really good at pretending like I know what I'm doing, so it worked out great! We kicked some trash and I can't tell if we earned more respect or lost it, but it was a lot of fun! We played at this park with a bunch of courts and everybody got a pretty good kick out of the two white girls that showed up to play. There seriously are NO white people out here in the New Territories, so we stick out like a sore thumb anyways. We're thinking we could have taken most of the people there so we might take up basketball finding. Who knows.

But back to the good stuff. Sunday was great! Everything went smoothly and the spirit was just incredible! He's been investigating for a year and a half and has been waiting for parental approval because he's only 15. He was introduced to the church by Ka Yeung (the one who baptized him) and is way tight with all the young men.

It was super cool to just sit there and be able to know that we had close to nothing to do with why he was getting baptized. Those young men are amazing. They've got a rep for being super loud and out of control all the time, which is partly true (and displayed beautifully in the picture of them holding Sam up in the air) but these young men and this ward were so good to Sam and so crucial to his conversion. It was just cool to step in and get to see it all happen. The gospel changes people and makes them happy. It's what this is all about.

One other quick one. We have this awesome investigator name Chiu Ji Muih. She's super awesome. Sister Dudley and I found her our first day together. She had an accident at work and has had neck pain for the last six months. She has been in the hospital these last few days for tests, but we have still been able to meet with her.

She has a lot of friends who belong to other Christian churches that have anti-ed

her really hard and told her how evil we are and not to talk to us. She said one friend even brought 10 missionaries from another church to talk to her. There are a LOT of real anti people here.. But she told us that she feels so good when she meets with us that she knows it's gotta be good.

We taught her the restoration this week and we got to the great apostasy and were explaining how everyone was confused and all these people established their own churches and she cut us off and said, "Well ya, it's super confusing because there are so many churches in Hong Kong! All my friends kept telling me to go to church with them, but it just never felt right. But then I met you and I can just feel that this one is right. There's only one God, so there really should only be one church, and I can feel that it's this church."

I know this doesn't sound as amazing as it really was, but it was just so cool! She came up with the "we only have one God, so we should only have one true church" on her own. She's probably the most in tune with the spirit out of anyone I've met in Hong Kong. It's incredible. It was so cool to then explain to her about Joesph Smith and the Book of Mormon and the Holy Ghost and help her to connect all the dots for why she feels this way. She's just the coolest. She's got a date and she's way excited to be baptized!

Well.. There's just not enough time to tell you about all the great things going on, but trust me! Life is bliss and the Lord is making things happen here in the New T's! There are so many incredibly prepared people. The Lord is hastening His work. He loves His children so much. It's just so good!!

Love y'all so much!
